The Arts District is a part of Swarthmore, where most of the real estate and most of the businesses are located.Many of the people who live in the Arts District are members of the Heacock Family, including Maud Heacock, Edna Heacock, and her two daughters, Lucy and Sallie. The library is owned by the Heacock Family, but the majority of the books are owned by the Swarthmore College community.Some of the Heacock's first-hand books include, George Armstrong Custer's memoirs, Letters to Louisa, Letters from Louisa, Historical Collections, An Early Sonnet by Edwin H. Bowler, The Re miniscences of Dr. Samuel Weems, The Early History of Dickinson College, and other books that can be found on campus. Edna Heacock's books can be found at a different library.The library of Friends Library Swarthmore is a great place for college students to meet and socialize. Here you will find most of the campus and libraries on one floor. Students that are studying there may want to try to find books that may help them with their studies.A lot of the Students do not have a computer at the Friends Library Swarthmore, so they have many advantages here. They may be able to get away from their computers for a while and spend some time studying.The books and videos are updated every day, making it easy for the students to get the latest books and news. Most of the books are on economics, physics, math, computers, and any other topics that may interest them.
